DIY Boat Sales for the private seller. For a quarterly fee, for those who wish to manage their own sale, Sell Your Own Boat Ltd will advertise a vessel on www.sellyourownboat.co.uk. Usually the vendor likes to be present when sea trials and surveys are carried out, so if he/she is going to be available for this then why not manage the entire sales process themselves.

Whether it is a Sail Boat, Yacht, Multi Hull, Power Boat, Sports Boat, Sailing Dinghy, Rib, PWC, River Boat, Houseboat or Canal Barge, to register your craft for sale, click on Register Vessel and enter the details using the simple application form provided. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can email the information to sales@sellyourownboat.co.uk.

As an additional facility, our Wanted section offers potential buyers the opportunity to leave details of the type of vessel they are looking for, thus enabling a match to be made between Buyer & Seller.

Anyone with their own website using it to advertise their boat, may take advantage of the potentially higher ranking on web search engines of www.sellyourownboat.co.uk, thereby making their vessel more visible to potential buyers. Sell Your Own Boat Ltd will provide a secure holding account for deposits, and on completion of the sale, the transfer of funds between buyer and seller. Optionally, to assist and reassure customers who may be concerned about the security of deposits held by the organisation responsible for advertising the vessel, we have an agreement with Ledger Lines (Southern) Associates Ltd., an independent company that can provide holding account facilities. Part of the philosophy behind Sell Your Own Boat Ltd is to provide sellers and buyers easy access to marine facilities such as details of marine safety and training opportunities, access to Sales Contracts & Bills of Sale, marine industry services e.g. Marine Surveyors, Marine Engineers, Boat Transportation, Berth Holders Associations etc.

Although there are larger companies that provide a similar service, we feel that we are unique in that we are available ONLY to the private seller and do not intend to advertise brokerage vessels. As a result we are able to provide a more personal service to boat-owners.
